Porter Stay is an international hospitality alliance that offer travelers consistently high-quality vacation rentals. While other homes are just places to sleep, our homes are designed & managed to allow guests the space to deepen connections, create joyful memories, and feel the warmth that only a deep love of hospitality can provide.

Our mission is to make sure every guest feels taken care of and we spare no expense to achieve that. The memories guests create in our properties because of our hospitality-first mindset are priceless.

The name "Porten" draws inspiration from Porteño, a term for the people of Buenos Aires, where our founder, Federico Zimerman, is from. The values of his home culture emulate the experience we offer our guests:

Celebrating multiculturalism

Porteño means people of the port. It’s Porten Stay’s symbol for celebrating different backgrounds, experiencing life through travel, and blending diverse cultures. It’s the foundation our hospitality practices are built off of.

Cultivating connection

Porteño culture is rich in traditions that celebrate togetherness. From sharing mate (a traditional Argentine tea) with friends to gathering around an asado (barbecue) and savoring the sobremesa (the time spent conversing and bonding after a meal) each tradition is a chance to connect, tell stories, and enjoy the moment. In this spirit, Porten Stays is more than a place to stay; it’s a place to gather, connect, and make memories with loved ones.

About Federico

Federico Zimerman (we call him Fede for short) has built an extensive career in travel and hospitality. After a decade in the airline industry, he began managing short-term rentals as a side venture, driven by a passion for hospitality and a wealth of experience. Having traveled to over 60 countries and flown more than a million miles, Federico found a natural progression into the vacation rental industry, where he combines his love for travel with a deep commitment to creating meaningful guest experiences.
